Can anybody indicate what the current wait for Nikkor 18-200 AFS VR lens is right now? I note that just about all vendors have this lens back ordered.
Thanks in advance.

Thomas,
Can't help you with the length of the wait but I can tell you that I was
talking to a D200 owner this weekend who is also waiting for the lens here
in DC. He seems a bit disturbed of the length of time he's been waiting.

The quote from my dealer: "The 18-200 lens is in a seriously back ordered
condition."

I waited about three weeks for mine in December.
Speaking of this lens, Thom Hogan has finally posted his review of it
here:

If it keeps getting reviews like this, the waiting list is only going
to get longer.
