Dear all,

Yeah, I know, sorry about this YACBT(Yet Another Camera Bag Thread). Well I
guess it is time for me to get an appropriate camera bag, so I'm here
asking for some advice.

I've got one camera and three lenses: Nikon D70s, Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5,
Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 and Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8. Before I got the 70-200
everything fits into a small shoulder bag, but now I have to buy a bigger
camera bag to accommodate that huge tank!

For now I would not consider backpack, although it said to be the "standard"
bag. With a backpack I have to unload the bag everytime I want something,
even if it's only a filter. And I've already got a general-purpose backpack
so it would inconvenient and stupid to take two on trip.  I'm looking for a
good quality shoulder bag that can accommodate all my stuff , and maybe
extra room for one lens just in case. How about Lowepro Reporter 200 AW,
which seems to be quite nice?  Any recommendations welcome!! Thanks a lot!

I pack the same kit plus flash, water bottle + bits into a Lowe-Pro Stealth
Reporter 500 AW.
Sometimes there's a Gitzo tied on too...

http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Shoulder_Bags/allWeather/Stealth_Reporter_500_AW.aspx

Excellent bag - really good with a padded waist belt added - shares and
stabilises the load...

The 'stealth' top opening is a bonus and the AW cover works...

Probably fit what you want into a Stealth Reporter 400 AW...

I can second the Lowepro... I ended up with the 650 size (deadlines and
not-very-well-stocked camera stores are to blame), which is a little
extra huge for my needs, but it holds my laptop and about a zillion
lenses which I end up not using anyway. :-)

Added bonus: Counts as an overhead carry-on for air travel.

Domke makes some excellent bags, I have a J-2, which may be a little larger
than you need, and an F-6 which sounds like it would fit your needs
admirably.  I fit a 20D, 3-4 lenses, flash, various batteries and filters in
mine.  The J-3 seems to split the difference between my two in size, it
might be one to check out, too.  And check out Kata, they make some
interesting bags, too.
I know this is a US retailer, but it's a good resource, anyway,

Jun,

Look here, www.kinesisgear.com

I use their belt system and find it extremely convenient.  Everything is in
its own case around my waist, easy to get w/o unloading everything.  Most
importantly its very modular so I only need to take what I need for the
shoot.  And with the addition of a holster and shoulder strap you can create
your own shoulder bag by attaching the need cases to the holster.

Its also extremely comfortable.  I've spent hours walking around with all my
gear; no problems, no soar shoulders.

I love the system.

I picked up a Domke F2 and like it.  It's probably bigger than you need, but
then there's room to grow.

I've got a similar kit to yours, with a few more lenses, and all fit nicely
into the Lowe Pro bag. I think it called the "Magnum." The only lens that
doesn't comfortably fit is the 300mm f/2.8, but that was no surprise. I also
get the SB-800 flash into the bag. It fits in all overhead compartments,
though is tough for below seat storage, unless in 1st Class.

Hope this helps,
Hunt
