I am new to D70s camera.

I plan to take long exposure night shots. As per the Nikon D70s manual
- I can set the model dial to "S" and then rotate the main command dial
to get "bulb" or "--" but I get none of them. I get from "8000" to
"30sec" but not "bulb" or anything.

Am I doing anything wrong ? or am missing some steps ?

Thanks
Somnath

On my D70, bulb is only available in Manual mode, not Shutter priority
mode. RTFM.

Set it to manual mode, not shutter priority.  It's also easier to do long
exposures if you get the infrared remote, because you can do one click to
start the exposure and a second to end it.
