canon tech paper focusing

Folks, I have read some very good technical papers on Canon's flash system
and this helped me use their flashes. I have been looking for a "white
paper" or the like on the focus system, particularly on the pro models,
specifically the 1Dmk11n if possible. Googling and the like hasn't turned
up much of use. Any url of relevance would be appreciated.

not a white paper but a very detailed thread on the subject.
