Folks
with my current computer system and using Breeze Downloader pro through a
Sandisk 12 in 1 card reader I get 0.9m per second download time with the
card reader in my boxes usb port. Hence a 1 Gig card ultra 11 card takes
around.15 to 20 minutes to download to my hard disk. I have little to
gauge this with to see if that is a good download time. I shoot raw and
each file is around 8mg. Any thoughts would be welcome. For instance,
would using ultra 3 cards or whatever make a difference. Are other programs
faster than down loader pro etc etc?

Good Lord. Something in there must be USB 1. You should be getting
something like 10-12.

That is really slow. What operating system are you using? With XP the
card reader should just show up as a drive and you can simply copy the
files to your hard drive.

That sucks! because either your USB port on the PC or the USB card
reader is only USB v1.0 - if everything was USB v2.0, you'd see a huge
improvement.

Sounds slow, are you using a USB 2.0 High Speed port? I saw that type of
speed with my USB 1.1

Folks
Thanks for all the comments. The reader claims to be "High Speed USB 2.
When I look in control panel and device manager I cannot see what the ports
are. How do I find this out?

First start at the machine BIOS and be sure your USB ports are configured
there to be USB2.0, not 1.1.
