I was starting to get a bit worried that he realised he was a troll and had
thrown himself under a bus. ;-)

Funny. Actually the Sigma SD7 (5.2 megapixel Foveon sensor) has been
rumored to be coming soon, but that was six months ago.

They're hoping to have it by Christmas but most probably the beginning of
next year.  It is coming, there's no doubt about that.

You cannot compare Sigma to the company that produced the Polaroid x530.

Why not? They're both companies that sell crappy technology.

Are they going to bump it from 3.4MP to...4? 4.5?

WOW!  A whopping 5.2MP. So by Sigma math, that comes out to 15+MP?

Well just to stir the pot a little ...

Why would it be the SD7 if their first model was the SD9 and that was
followed by the SD10?  Wouldn't the logical progression be the SD11?

One might think that but the numbering system seems more akin to the body
size rather than a succession of numbers.  The new SD will have a smaller
body than the SD9 and SD10.  Although the model number is different, it is
an upgrade from the SD10, not a downgraded consumer model.
