My girlfriend's birthday is coming up so I bought her a Digital Rebel XT (350D). This will replace the Sony F717 I loaned her a while back. It seems the perfect size for her hands. And personally I think it really IS a girl's camera and I think Canon did that on purpose. I could be wrong.
