Because Brooklyn is as horrible to look at as New Jersey?

Many storefronts in Brooklyn look a lot like their counterparts in
northern New Jersey, where the location scenes from the show are filmed.
Sometimes you drive past something and realize you saw it on the show,
like the butcher place with the absurd pig on the front, which does
actually exist (but appeared to not actually be in business when I saw
it). The Bada Bing is a (renamed) bar that actually exists, too.
(They screw up the authenticity by having the dancers topless, which
would not be allowed in an alcohol-serving bar.)
It's kind of like being from Manhattan and watching "Sex And The City".
The nightclub where you sit on beds instead of at tables is a real place,
believe it or not.
