Is this lens a bargain.
Has onyone here bought one.
Only downside I can see is that it has no IS.

Buy it new from a store like B&H and you don't have to worry as much.

In the US, at B&H Photo, a discount retail/mail order house, the EF 70-200
f2.8L USM goes new for about $1100 US. You figure out, if it's a good
deal or not. I don't know the exchange rate for the British Pound.
And stop whining about no IS. Photographers were taking great pictures
long before there was IS, auto-focus, auto-exposure, or auto-anything.
Besides, a monopod cost less than IS and it works with ALL your lenses.
