Hi
I have seen some very interesting Colour Photograms recently and
wanted to try my own versions. I am looking for some advice from
anyone who has had some experience with this method.

My main issue appears to be access to a colour enlarger, can these
images be produced using a B+W enlarger?

If so how?

I was planning on using cibachrome paper.

Thanks for any advice.

I have no experience with this, but if it's really photograms you want
to make, you don't need any kind of enlarger at all. What you do need is
a controllable source of light that's not too bright (meaning much less
bright than, say, a 100-watt light bult).

I would also think that for maximum color effect, you'd want several
color light sources. These could be different colored light bulbs, or a
white light source with colored filters.

I hope that in a few years it [Wikipedia] will be so bloated that it
will simply disintegrate, because I can't stand the thought that this
thing might someday actually be used as a serious reference source.
Because in its current form, it's not to be taken seriously at all.

Sure you can use your B&W enlarger. Its purpose will be to cast even
illumination, make timed exposures and to hold filters.

Darn!  I just gave away a big box of cibachrome material, including two
complete sets of filters and Agfa's book on making color photograms!

First, google  cibachrome photograms

Then surf that big auction site for ciba filters.

And if none of that works for you, go to this site
<http://www.digoliardi.net>  and get the email address from the first
page and write to me and I'll see if the gentleman who got the filters
is willing to let them go.

Good luck!

If anyone wants my supply of Ilfochrome, Radiance, or R-4 papers, let me
know.  They're free to a good home.

I found a pack of unused 3"x3" Cibachrome filters that are intended to
be put in front of the lens, although they will work with any enlarger
that can put them close enough to the rear of the lens to work.

Free. All I need is your mailing address.
