Bought a Olympus 250 film back to add to my OM items.  Want to play
with it.  Anyone with experience with developing long rolls.  Thanks.

I am not familiar with this particular back but if it
takes long rolls of 35mm or 70mm film they were originally
processed on reels designed for this. Morse Instrument and
others (Steinman?) made such machines. One can also make a
rack and tank arrangement such as used for motion picture
film in the early days.

Just curious about one thing: how long is "long"? 250 frames?

Don't talk to me, those of you who must need to be slammed in the
forehead with a maul before you'll GET IT that Wikipedia is a
time-wasting, totality of CRAP...don't talk to me, don't keep bleating
like naifs, that we should somehow waste MORE of our lives writing a
variorum text that would be put up on that site.

It is a WASTE OF TIME.

Up to 10 meters or 250 frames.

No experience, but you might want to look at:
<http://www.geocities.com/cinetank/s8-16-50-manual-35.htm>
for a Russian made tank which will do 50 feet of 35mm film.
The site also shows an 100 foot tank. I don't know what
his prices are, but the guy seems to have a pretty good
reputation among people who develop their own movie film.

This is very much like the Steinman tanks used from the 1920s on
for development of motion picture film.
If the 250 in the original post is 35mm double frames its about 32
feet of film so this tank would be quite suitable.

Morse made a long roll tank for up to 100 feet of film, one
model was a wind/rewind arrangement with mechanical cranks,
a light-trapped filler and a window you could use for
re-exposure when processing reversal.  I had one, never used
it and unloaded it.  I did use the motorized version a few
times when I worked in a State University photolab.

I'd (almost) bet that Nikor and perhaps Kindermann once made
spiral reels for this length since 250 exposures x 38mm =
about 10 meters which isn't impossible to load on a spiral.
