Dear friends, you know that there are djvu/pdf copies of books which
can be downloaded from internet. But, though I have downloaded a huge
amount of math books in those format, I can't make a printout of them,
for in doing this I have to spend much money - printing by PC printer
(bubblejet, which I have) is much costly. Can you suggest a different
trick?
Thanks,
saurav

This may not help you.  And you don't say where you are located.  But if you
have a large amount of printing to do think about getting a laserjet printer.

I tend to like to print out stuff rather than printing on my monitor.  Also
for a while I self published a news letter for the local ham radio group I
belonged to. (About 25 copies, 100 to 200 pages a month.)  This was 7 or 8
years ago.

At the time I was going thru over $40(US) worth of ink cartriges a month.  At
that time I purchased a HP Laserjet 1100 (personal laserjet) for about $300.
A toner cartriage would normally last me about 9 months.  At that time a
toner cartriage was about $70.  I have since put over 21,000 pages thru it
with one repair.  I have replaced my inkjet printer, for what color printing
I need to do, twice in that time.

In the US monochrome laser printers are going for about $100 and color laser
printers can be had for about $300.

When I feel that the color laserjets print good enough photos I may very well
replace both my printers with a color laserjet.

Also in the inkjet end look into refilling your cartriages.  Or if you have a
Epson or a Canon printer look into getting CIS (continuoes ink system) for it.
I have one on my Epson R320 that I use for photos.  A CIS provides an
external tank to put bulk in with small tubes to run into your printer to a
special set of ink cartriages.  Search google for CIS.

I have had mine for about a year.  The only problem that I had with was the
the black ink tube wore out next to the cartrige.  My hands were a rainbow of
colors by the time I had shortend all the tubes and reattached them.

Have a good day.

The problem is, while I have made refilling a few times, my Canon
S200SPX head became out of order. Refilling is injurious to head, and
often, deadly!

Yes, the obvious one: use a laser printer. Toner is *much* cheaper than
inkjet inks. (Keep in mind that companies that make printers make almost
all of their money on "consumables", not the printers themselves, so
that's why you're paying through the nose for inkjet cartridges.)

This is assuming that what you're printing is black-only, of course. Or
you could use a color laser. Still cheaper.
