Hi,
I recently bought a Durst DA-900 B&W enlarger for my g/f, and have
discovered that the CLS-201 (I think) is the correct head for colour, and
seems to be as rare as rocking-horse droppings - anyone know whether any
others will fit / can be made to fit the DA-900? Ideally I'd like something
that can work with the medium-format condensor and lens... A tall order?

Thanks,

I don't have an answer to your specific query, but you should be able to
use separate color filters. That might be a bit awkward, but it would
work. Another option is a lens that incorporates color filters. A Polish
company made one called "Janpol" (I'm not sure if that's the company's
name or the lens's model name). Several are available on eBay at the
moment. The ones that are listed now all seem to be 80mm models; I don't
know if these were ever made in other focal lengths. I also don't know how
good these lenses are (I don't own one). I've noticed them before as
curiosities, but you might conceivably find one useful.

Well, today I was *given* a Durst Laborator 1200, very much incomplete (no
neg' holder or lamp holder, but with Nikon lens and diffuser) complete
with... a CLS-450 head missing its transformer/power unit!

It looks like a fairly easy bodge to fit, and it actually looks like it
belongs on top of  the DA-900, so I think a winter project's in the offing!
If it works out I'll post Destructions and Measurements in case anyone else
has the urge to do a bit of Durst Bodging :o)
