Hello,

I have an old but very clean copy of "Simplified Color Processing
Formulas" and "150 Black-and-White Photographic Formulas" published by
Photochemistry authority and editor Patrick D. Dignan in about 1967.

According to Jack's Photographic and Chemistry Site
(http://www.jackspcs.com/index.htm) the Dignan family does not have any
copies of his books or newsletters to sell.

There is a lot of good information in these (8.5x11 inch format)
booklets that can be used by readers of this newsgroup.  Does anyone
know how i can get in touch with the Dignan family to secure permission
to post a copy of these booklets?  If i can get permission, i can scan
the booklets and make pdf images or html versions available on my web
server.

I think they must be out of copy right and public domain. Dan

No such thing, see the new copyright law.  Things do not go into the
public domain until released into the public domain or 95 years after
the date of last publication.  The Dignan estate still has copyright to
these materials until such time, etc.

see http://www.copyright.cornell.edu/training/Hirtle_Public_Domain.htm

" 1964 through 1977 Published with notice 95 years after publication
date "  (1967 + 95 = 2062  means we have another 56 years to go)
