Hello -

I just picked up an Opemus III enlarger and am looking for a manual, if such
a thing exists. I have done some searching on the internet and not (yet)
come up with anything useful. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jon

I see frequent requests for manuals, I can even see the need if your talking
a complicated camera with many features or a processor like the Jobo, but
all enlargers are alike.  There's a lamp, a place to hold the negatives, a
lens stage with a focus knob and a baseboard.  Any general book on printing
will tell you how to use it. You might try eBay, some guy was selling CD's
with many enlarger manuals at one time, though I suspect he may have got
into copyright trouble.

http://www.craigcamera.com/default.htm  has a manual for a Opemus II for
$25.00.  Plus $5.00 shipping which is $20.00 more that I would give for a
Opemus enlarge right now with the glut of enlargers on the market.

I agree that in general enlargers are fairly simple devices however it
can be nice to have the manual for little things like alignments and
bulb types. For some reason many used enlargers have bulbs other than
the OEM recommendations.

Plus if you're buying used you never really know if it's put together the
right way or the way the last owner "fixed" it.

Hi !
Try to contact with Meopta directly. They still
have parts and manuals for many of their old
enlargers.
Best regards,
