I recently read this in another group and thought I'd bring it to the
attention of those posting here as well. I spoke with my good friend
Ralph Krubner who is a pretty well known stock photographer and he
seems to agree with the ASMP which states

".... it will be the worst thing that has happened to independent
photographers and other independent visual artists since Work Made for
Hire contracts."

While digital imaging (unauthorized reproduction) has certainly
impinged upon copyrights, this appears to me to be one of the biggest
legal conundrums I've ever imagined possible.

For a fuller explanation of "orphan works", see

are in a PDF.)

To the arrogant putzes at NBC:

Do we call the country Italia? Is its capital Roma?
Were previous Olympics held in Moskva, Muenchen or Athine?
Do we call it the "Shroud of Torino"?

No!

So learn to speak English already and call it Turin.
