Whats the shelf life of Metol, Sodium Sulfite Anhydrous, and Balanced
Alkali ?

In full glass jars kept out of the light, I'd say around 10~15 years.

I have at least one bottle of each that has been on the shelf for
around 50
years. They each seem fine.

Well here I go, from mechanical to chemical and I haven't a clue. Let's
dig up every article or paper on B&W developers from let's say 1935 to
date. My kids are like me, mechanical, I'm going back to Stevens for a
chemical refresher. Rather go back for math.

Pretty much forever. I've been using the same batch of Metol for more
than 10 years and it's fine. Sulfite I rarely use, so my batch is
probably 20 years old, but when I did use it a few months ago, it was
OK. I use my Balanced Alkali regularly, so can't speak for longevity on
that.
