[introducing Harman Warmtone and Harman Cooltone paper developers]
So who's Harman?
"ILFORD Photo is the trading name of HARMAN
technology Ltd, the company under which the
new enterprise trades, and is the brand
which will be used for all monochrome
products - film, paper and photochemistry.
The HARMAN brand (drawn from the name of
ILFORD's founder in 1879, Alfred Harman)
will be applied to other aspects of the
company's business, such as thin-layer
film and paper coating for the medical
sector, as it becomes further organised.
. . .
It is this dedication [sic] to black-and-white,
shared by Harris and Hopwood with their fellow
HARMAN technology directors: Andy Taylor
(Finance Director), Steven Brierley (Sales
Director UK, USA and Australia), Simon Galley
(Sales Director European and Export Markets),
and Peter Elton (Operations Director), which
provides the catalyst for the company's
determined and carefully formulated assault
on the global market. "
"Harman Technology Ltd." - doesn't have much
ring to it, but I guess we may as well get used
to hearing it more and more.
What next: "Genesee Valley Gelatin and
Rendering Works, Inc., doing business as 'Kodak'."

Note also that one of the technology directors listed above - Simon Galley,
the Sales Director, European and Export Markets - is now a regular
contributor over on APUG. He has been soliciting input and reporting
progress as Harman (Ilford) continues to expand its product line.
This expansion includes the reintroduction of several previously
discontinued products (postcard paper, various developers/fixers, etc.) as
well as the introduction of a number of new products (print developers and
possibly a Delta 25 B&W film). They are also currently in the process of
putting together a special coating run of HP5+ and FP4+ film to be cut into
a dizzying array of (photographer-requested) non-standard sheet sizes, most
of which have not been commercially available for quite a long time.

Any buzz on 5X7 ? I've been hoping for D400 in 5X7 for some time.

Not as part of this particular run. Apparently the consensus of input
opinion was that availability of both the HP5+ and FP4+ emulsions was
sufficient (along with a little D100) to cover the needs of the ULF
photographers for which this special program was targeted. Ilford's
willingness to offer this program to what is arguably the tiniest sliver
(ultra-large format) of an already diminished film market niche speaks
volumes to their commitment, IMHO.

counting metric) and participating dealerships may be found at:

WOW!!! 20x24 sheet film!! I'd love to see the camera to use that, and
the results would be just amazing. At $26 a pop tho, you'd want to get
everything just perfect before you pressed the shutter.

A few 20x24 cameras are shown including one which takes Poloroid film.

Thanks for the info Ken. I've reviewed the thread and note that the
only item close to my needs is the " Delta Pro100 13x18cm $48.63
1743481". Note that this is a fairly high price consindering that
Kodak T-Max 100 5X7 is just $71.95 for a 50 sheet box.

Just to play fair, I also ran across a Kodak T-Max 400 ULF pool purchase
being sponsored by JandC Photo:

Nice ! Unfortunately it caught me at a bad time financially. I'd love
to get a couple boxes of TMY 5X7. Do you think they'll be doing this
again ?

Can't say with authority. My sheet film needs currently extend only so far
as the "miniature" 4x5 format, so I don't get involved in these ULF pool
purchases. But I'd love to find a reasonable used 8x10 or 11x14 camera/lens
combination some day and just eliminate my D5 from the process.
Try contacting JandC directly at:

And, as it seems these types of cottage industry sourcings for traditional
materials are the wave of the future (albeit not necessarily a bad future),
if you or someone you know are fans of the now discontinued Kodak Azo silver
chloride contact paper, check out this link for a just-initiated, huge pool
purchase of a newly-developed possible successor to Azo:
