It is not our patriotic duty to send children to be butchered & slaughtered
& to butcher & slaughter others every time a general or a politician gets a
hardon for a war. Rather, it is our patriotic duty to demand the highest
burden of proof to justify war.

Thanks for the suggestion Gregory but I am unable to find contact info. I
called Omega-Satter but they "have nothing to do with Durst" according to
the person who answered the phone.

50,000,000 cycle switches are easily available and
cost only a few cents more [and sometimes less] than
some 10,000 cycle "cheapy". Of this clients are made.

This isn't my usual line of business, but I may be able
to replace the switches; email if you want. Chances are that
only the original designed-in switch can be fitted, though.
Contact cleaner can help in some cases, but if the switches
are sealed [to keep dirt in and cleaner out] or are membrane
or rubber/elastomer switches then contact cleaner won't help.
If the keys are rubber you can often restore things by taking
the blighter apart and gently cleaning off the contact pads on
the printed circuit board with a -new- Pink Pearl eraser. Scrub
the back of the rubber key thingy with dish soap and hot water -
or just let it run through the dishwasher with the next load of dishes.

Too true! Many IT departments have dishwashers so they can clean all the
latte and capuchino out of PC keyboards. I suspect that you want to use the
top rack only and air dry rather than heat dry. If the keyboard is other
that the usual looking PC type keyboard I'd think twice about trying this
trick.
