Omega C760 Super Chromega Dichroic a couple of questions

I picked one of these up for very little to upgrade a B66. Omega
sells an adapter for it. Will I be able to use the B66 neg holders after the
upgrade? Is the adapter just a plate? The head I got came with a big plate
that I guess is needed for a different enlarger. It sure doesn't fit the B66
with the plate mounted.

The yellow knob spins a bit past the point it should. Actually spins
all the way around. But it does turn the filters. Any idea how easy/hard it
would be to fix this. Of course it's not the cyan knob that's not working.

     Thanks

As I recall the head mounts to the B-66 chassis, so all the adaptation takes
place above the film plane, you'll still use B-22/B-66/B-600 carriers, lens
plates and lenses.  And since the B-66 is a 6x6 unit it's unlikely you'd be
able to enlarge 6x7 negatives without some kludging.  On the other hand keep
an eye out for a C-760 chassis and you'll have a fine 6x7 unit as well.

As far as the color head repair, you can always use parts from the cyan
mechanics to repair the yellow and then if you ever need cyan (I have on
rare occasions) just use a 50CP cyan filter and balance with the other two
colors.

Only if the opening is too small for 6x7. I'd be suprised if it's that
limited but maybe. Either way the main reason for getting this was for
smaller negatives. My 4x5 enlarger only has 4x5 light boxes. It was a LOT
cheaper to buy this then to even consider finding a smaller light box. I
only wish it used the same bulbs my 4x5 head did.

I'm hoping I can just tighten something. The filters do move but the knob
doesn't stop.

Look for a small set screw on the knob, good luck and let us know how you
make out.  BTW the other problem with 6x7 on a B-66 chassis would be to find
a carrier for that size that will fit the B-66.  But 40 minutes with a
Dremel could fix that if the throat of the film stage and bellows are
adequate.

Hopefully it's just a set screw. I'll try and look at it this weekend.
No rush I still need to order the adapter plate to fit it to the B66.
