Just scooped a box of 11x17 xray film..
supposedly sensitive in th IR band, 800nm

there's the home-made box camera sitting around waiting for a test 6hr
exposure..
Then there is also the idea of using it as a b/w xparency (expose with
??? .. maybe a slide projector?)

Any idea of what kind of conventional chemistry could tray develop it?
Or do I soak it in coffee (not that thread again..)

Someone out there  MUST have played around with xray film before.
Please reply to group..
thanks

Hi,

We use X-ray film routinely at work. Are you sure it's IR sensitive?
Ours certainly isnt. Also, do you know what base colour it is? Often
it's blue-base film rather than clear or grey.

Blue bae, Agfa Scopix LT800B
OR laser imaging film
14x17 sheets
data sheet sez 800nm peak sensitivity..
Of Course, should be rammed through a machine (which I dont have)
but  I was wondering if anyone ever tried conventional chemistry on
such stuff.. D76?  D19?  Dektol? Hot Coffee?
Does it even use silver chemistry?

Obviously looking for a novelty transparency effect..

Guess I can try to blast an image onto it with a slide projector
loaded with a BW negative. The data sheet sez it can be loaded in
subdued light..

Just looking for prior experience
V.
