It is an important question because today, developing my usual film with my
usual times and the usual home made developer I have the negatives quite
undedeveloped: The film is ok but the images are thin and lacks of contrasts
and depth.

So my question is:
how can last a homebrew stock soup (I make home most of time a Microphe type
developer - ID68) before diluting in working solution (1:1)?
I keep stored this stocks always in noair bottles, well stored.

A week? A month?
Just to know, to avoid another underdeveloping for the next batrch of rolls...
Have I to add some sulfite to help for?
Or simple have I to mix just before use and then the working solution?

It's sounds strange, but the new Microphen and so far developers, once prepared
the stock solutions, lasts a lot lot more in my lab!!

When mixing developers up I don't make stock solutions. I just make fresh
diluted developer up when I need it. If you want a working solution of 1:1
just divide the formula amounts in half. It'll be easier to mix. It'll be
very fresh. It'll be the same every time.
