Can someone publish or point me in a direction to find divided developers
for B&W and C-41 films (and sure why not E-6 while we're on the subject).
Thx.

An old issue of "creative photographic darkroom techniques" has an
article by Patrick Dignan about divided (two bath) C-41 developer. It
gives the formula and processing techniques as well.

There is no such developer as Divided D23. How can you divide a formula that has
only two components ?

By adding to the formulation.  Pull out a lot of the Sulfite and add
Bisulfite to the A bath so that it doesn't develop, them make an
Alkaline B bath with enough Sulfite to preserve and provide so;vent
action.

Using the original formula as the A bath has its known problems, as
development takes place, leading to control problems, sometimes.

And then it is not D-23. It's kinda like that digital imaging v. photography
thing. If you change the formula and it's no longer what was originally identified with
the name.

You got the point.  Basically, anything that permits development to
occur in the A bath is not truly a divided developer.  At best it
permits split development.
