Using the original formula as the A bath has its known problems, as
development takes place, leading to control problems, sometimes.

And then it is not D-23. It's kinda like that digital imaging v. photography
thing. If you change the formula and it's no longer what was originally identified with
the name.

You got the point. Basically, anything that permits development to
occur in the A bath is not truly a divided developer. At best it
permits split development.
