We used Logatronics auto dodging/burning enlargers in the airforce. That
was how we printed the images of the missels in the holds of the ships
during the Cuba crises. One probe placed on the empty hold, one placed
on a highlight on the waves, null the meter and wait 20 minutes or so
for the Log e to do it's job. Also printed the images of the Univ of AL
and MS during the integration confrontations with these units. They let
us dodge between the leaves of the trees. Of course all of this was done
in the early 60's so later versions should be much improved.

Also used Log e to make dupe 5" roll film automatically back then.

I guess there are no secrets any more.

These units are used extensively in the aerial photography business, both
for military surveillance and mapping/commercial work. The  CRT controls
enable localized control on burning and dodging. Most labs I know use the
contact printing version when printing 9" aerial film on 10" roll paper.

I think the prices are way out of line for most of us.

Old hat!  I suggested the same years ago when IBM came out with their laptop
which had a detachable LED screen intended to put on a transparency
projector.
