Anyone experience buying bulk from JD Photochem (aka Fotochem, I think) in
Quebec, Canada? I would be interested in bulk sources in the US also. Thx.

You can get some chemicals like sodium sulfite, hypo, citric acid, at
swimming pool supply companies very cheaply. They probably will not
have reducing agents like metol, phenidone, glycin, etc though.  You
wouldnt want a 50lb bag of those anyway.

I've also used Fotochem that you mentioned and was quite satisfied.  I
got a note from them that a new person was taking over the operation
and haven't used them since that time but I assume it's still a good
source.  Happy Blending!

After comparing prices and service, I placed a $300 order with them within
the year prior to the new ownership.  Everyting arrived as ordered.  They
had a few items I wanted which were not listed on the website, and they
packaged a special quantity of one item for me for no extra charge.  I plan
to continue to use them.

Hi,

Would it be possible to have the exact reference to the web site?  I
used to buy from a chem supply in St Hubert, Quebec, several miles from
Montreal.  Any additional info would be welcome.

Bogdan

I have good experience with them. They ship promptly and the quality of
the materials is good. I recently also ordered a few chemicals after
the change of ownership and still the same good service. If I need new
chemicals then I'll certainly contact them again.
