> How can I delete read or unwanted subjects from this newsgroup?
You can't actually delete them, but some newsreaders can be set to
"ignore" threads.
In Thunderbird, simply pressing the "k" on the keyboard does it. In
X-news I think it's the delete key. (In X-news, "k" is for plonk.)
But you seem to be posting through google, so you probably just have to
suffer through them.

Get a newsreading program that allows you to directly post to the
group and not go through Google as you are now doing.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President,
or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong,
is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable
to the American public."--Theodore Roosevelt, May 7, 1918

Some newsreaders have a Filter menu. There may be a keypad conbination
for 'mark as read'.
