I developed HP5+ 35mm film exposed @ EI 400 in Xtol 1:1 @68 degrees for
12 minutes in a small tank agitated 2 gentle inversions to start and 2
gentle inversions every 30 seconds and yielded overdeveloped too
contrasty negatives. Kodak reccomends 12 minutes which I gave it, but
much more agitation than I gave the film. I'm going to reduce the time
20% to 9.5 minutes and wonder if I should also reduce agitation to two
inversions every minute instead of 30 seconds. Note this film was shot
on a low contrast rainy day and N+1 development would normally be
called for. If I had developed it for 15 minutes (+25%)it would be
bullet proof.
