And now another thing! Where are all my posts this NG.
Six hundred plus posts are missing. Am I the only one
finding fault with this BETA?                         Dan

No.  The beta sucks and it appears that the original can no longer be
found.

Not sure what you're referring to, Dan.  I'm running Mozilla, and the
newsgroup messages are coming in fine.  I don't save them on my hard
drive, so I can't say any are missing.  I must mark the group "read"
when I'm through reading the ones I want to, and then they go away.

Hi !
I've tried
http://groups.google.fr/groups?hl=fr&lr=&q=dan.C.Quinn&btnG=Rechercher
And found some of your old messages.
The Beta indication in the logo has disapeared.
Maybe, reloading your page could help ?
Of course, being French, in France, I access Google through the
google.fr and french language pages. YMMV ....
Have a nice day !

I was for better than a year THE battalion photographer
at the airport at Etain; near Metz. Are you anywhere
near there?                                           Dan

Plus it is a pain in the Beta to navigate between newsgroups (from
rec.photo.darkroom to rec.photo.equipment.medium-format, for example.)
I thought the "Recently Viewed" option would be a fix, but this list
gets cleared every so often.  I can't see one benefit of the new
format.

My version of Google Beta has two searh boxes one at the top left for a
Google search and one at the top right in the yellow bar to the right
of the "Topic in......." location. That box is marked "search this
group".

Does anyone have someting other than this?

I've that now. I still see 900 plus my posts this NG
where there were 1500 plus. I think this BETA is a make
work project of the 'dig a hole and fill it in' type. Dan

I am a frequent user of Google Groups and agree that the
new inteface sucks (to put it mildly). I've managed to
figure out how to use it and find groups that I want but its
been made much more difficult. The new system does not
follow Usenet classification and generally obscures the
existence of most groups. I think someone had a "clever"
idea and managed to sell it to Google management. I've
written to them, politely but firmly, to tell them what I
think and suggest others do the same. The new system is
truely awful.
