I have just bought a Paterson safelight via ebay and found out it has
the VF dome, not the red one. I have contacted Paterson who say that it
might fog Ilford MG, depending on distance. Have I wasted my money or
would having the light about 1.5 m away be okay?

Thanks

Ian

Try it and find out.  Search google/groups for "safelight test"

IWCTW, you can always use a red Xmas tree bulb with it.
