Hi all !

I have just bought few rolls of APX 25 in 135. I do not have this stuff
enough to test it ... so: Please, give me some advices how to exposure and
how to develop to see the full strength of that famous APX 25 ; ))

I have used the following combination with much success:

Exposed at ISO 25 and developed in Agfa Rodinal (1+50), 68F for 10 minutes
in tank with agitation for the first 30 seconds and then 5 seconds every 30
seconds.

I loved this film.

My favorite way to develop it was FX-2 (homebrew) as a stand developer
for 45 minutes. (Agitate like hell for 1 minute and let it stand for
45 miniutes or so without agitation). Amazing edge effects and long
tonal scale.

I gotta try this standing development. :-)

It is not necessary to "agitate like hell" for the first minute. The film,
especially thin films like APX25 require only a few seconds to saturate
adequately. Just rap the tank to remove bubbles, and walk away. No further
agitation.

A virtue of Rodinal 1:150 (for example) is that if you want N-1 then
almost all films develop to completion in 50 minutes. Mix 'em up in the
can. No problem.

Will Ilford PanF+@iso25 be well developed in Rodinal 1:150 for 50 minutes.
I'll try this next time I head for the darkroom ("m?rkekammer" in danish).
