I took the plunge and ordered a VersaLab Parallel Laser Aligner for my 23C-II.  It arrived today and of course, playtime!!!

Well, I wasn't too far out the whole head height range, so the Level technique wasn't too bad.  However, when I get the Neg stage and Lens Stage parallel to the easel, and move the head height up and down the range, the laser light moved front to back on the reflector!  Seems like to me (if I still remember my High School Geometry) that I have a parallelogram and not a square.  The laser does remain in the circle and does not walk out of the center, so the planes are parallel.

If This is the case, then does it matter?  Seems to me the only thing that will change is the center point of the projected image.

What do you think?

Jim

    Two things.

    1) Your line wrap is broken

    2) And I believe that your enlarger is working as designed.
The image center should walk back and forth to prevent the image
hitting the chassis.

John,

Thanks.  Number one was fixed by turning off HTML.  Sorry, new config on
this PC.

I was pretty sure about number 2, but wanted reassurance.

Thanks again.

Jim
