diffusing material for exposure meter

Any advice on a cheap, readily-obtaining material that I can use to
diffuse the light from the enlarger (below the lens). I want to use my
color analyzer, with its probe, as an exposure meter.

First a question: Which analyzer?

Second a reply which is possibly valid: LICI Colorstar supplies a
a 3 x 3 inch diffusion material with thier analyzers for that very
purpose, www.omegasatter.com maybe a place you can find it
premade, in theory you may be able to use thin sign grade white
plexi provided you work the light fall off into the exposure.

Omega told me to check with B&H for the spare parts. B&H seems to stock
many and will order the rest. Prices aren't too high.

Frosted glass.
Opal glass is better but doesn't let enough light through.
White plastic, ditto.

Matte drafting Mylar or vellum are common choices as they are stable.
An art-supply or drafting/blue-print supply store will have what you
need.

Just about anything will work in a pinch, though:

Thin white drugstore/grocery bags.
Coffee filter paper.
Kleenex ....

The top off an ice cream bucket. Only problem is I gained weight.
