I mixed a package of dectol that may have been a few years old. It was
a very dark brown solution. I have never seen such a mix. Obviously
there was some oxidation or an other reaction. Would this stuff still
work? I sometimes notice that dektol may sometimes mix to an off
color.

Any thoughts?

Toss it. Might work but also might stain your prints and
probably won't develop a good d-max anyway.
