How grainy are FP4 and APX 100 35mm films when developed normally in HC-110
? Are they as grainy as TRI -X?
Which dilutions ,(American HC-110), work best for fine grain?

Thanks for any answers !

I've not processed all three films in HC 110 but as a guess I'd hazard that
Tri-X would be the grainiest of the three and APX-100 the finest grain.
HC-110 at any dilution is not really a fine grain developer, having very low
silver solvent action.  I am only really familiar with Dilution B, times
would be pretty short.

I used the syrup right out of the bottle to 80 parts water for quite
a while with Tri-X and FP-4. Both looked very good, and FP-4 remained
noticably fine grained in my experience. After alot of comparison's I
found Paterson's Acutol to be a favorite for FP-4, and APX did remarkably
      well in Kodak's Xtol.
