Only ever heard it concerning C-41/E-6 stabilizer.

Jobo recommends not letting photo-flo touch the reels or tanks. Not a
problem just grab a cheap plastic tub big enough to hold the film.

Yes. Long ago I went to the local store and bought a package of disposable
plastic bowls made by glad. I found a size that was the perfect size for 120mm
film and I put the photo-flo in it and then take the film off of the reel and
drop it in the photo-flo.
