G'day guys. Been a while since I posted some photos here.
Thought I'd post some from my recent honeymoon in Santorini.
The iconic blur roofs of the churches:

A honeymoon without whips, chains and handcuffs? What happened to
tradition?

The light in these parts is magical, an all-enveloping, almost tangible
clarity. and it can fool a lot of meters. Some of your shots are
bordering on overexposure with some white areas blown out. But they are
interesting, and they make me wish to go overseas again to countries
like that - specially since here in NZ we have had a long, cold winter.
Last Saturday, the morning temperature was 3°C in the lower North
Island, and snow to low levels in the South - and we're within 6 weeks
of the longest day.

Thanks for commenting, Colin. You're right. The exposure here
was tricky - all the white buildings, and the volcanic cliffs etc
were very dark.
Still that cold in NZ? Wow - you did have a long, cold winter.
I heard it was a great ski season.

Which is not a crime, if it gets him the look he desires rather than a flat,
lifeless image.
OTOH you get to make your own choices.

It wasn't an accusation, T, just a friendly comment - which is how the
OP took it.

Yeah, saw the ones in dA as well.
Well done, mate. Excellent stuff.
Santorini is one of those places in
my "to-do" list. Maybe one day...
Very hard to expose spot-on with all that lime wash
white stuff around. You did a good job with most of them.

Thanks mate. Photographers' paradise over there. Mind you,
there's millions of photogs there, and hard to get a shot without
anyone in it. At sunset on the northern end of the island
there's people lined up shoulder to shoulder to get the sunset
over water. Personally, I thought it was "just another sunset",
but it's certainly the thing to do while there.

You always appreciate critique?
Ok.
Your a.s is too big, your mouthwash isn't up to the job and your wife
charges way too much.
I hope you appreciate that.

Nice try. I would have re-arranged it somewhat. My wife is too
big, my a.s isn't up to the job, and my mouthwash costs too much,
or something like that.

Meh. I appreciate humour on a slightly higher level. You know,
something you've really thought about. Something we haven't
heard before. That was pretty weak. Hope you appreciate /that/
critique. At least I gave something constructive so you can
improve next time.
