I read the review of the Sony A350 on DPReview (thanks to RichA).
Are they completely blind and stupid?

They claim the picture of the RAW file of the Canon 450 is better. Well,
download both files and judge:

Take a good look at the colors and sharpness. Specially in the lower right
corner with the globe and the little car.

For me they lost all credibility forever.

And since the colors are affected by RAW conversion software and settings
used (also the sharpness in some cases), your opinion is hardly definitive
either. My test for a DSLR body is *can* I obtain good photo's, *not* how
good are the standard settings.

But one thing I will agree on, the standard Canon zoom lenses are certainly
less than the best.

Nikon zooms are in the same boat.

And yes its how one processes the images, not the standard setting
comparative test. Or is that like I need a new body cause I don't get
good images straight off the camera :)

Unfortunately seems to be the thinking of many pretend photographers. Those
who think equipment cost is a substitute for ability.
(or their woeful photo's are somehow great, just because they were taken
with Nikon lenses :-)

They're useless in their canon fixation.

go to http://www.cameralabs.com/ ,
a much better review site.

dpreview used to be good, since about
two years ago there are much better
options.
