Not sure to be honest.  Didn't catch their name at the time.
They were little rodent looking mammals about the size of a cat.
Cute.  Taste like chicken >:)

Looks a little like a Mara, but hard to tell.  If it is, it's a young one.

More importantly, how is it for the animals? That one, at least, looks healthy
and alert. It's a little hard to tell just what he is. If he were in the U.S.,
I might think he was a prairie dog. Some specialized Australian varmint,
perhaps?

Well I didn't have a one-on-one chat with many of the animals,
but they looked happy :)

The zoo isn't in Australia.  I was in England a few weeks ago.
MZP is in southern England just north of Portsmouth.
