I am one of those lucky people that can take the occasional day off mid
week. I did this today and headed up to a local caving area with several
friends that can also take the odd day off mid week. Today we went into a
cave that is normally very ordinary but because of the extended very dry
period we have been experincing over the last 10 years some of the normally
wet sumps are finally passable and the transition from the "ordinary" cave
through a sump that is filled with sand that we had to dig out was also
passable, this gave access to an 8 metre wall.
Well the upshot is that this cav has got some of the most amazing helectites
that I have ever seen, it also has lots of great other features including
straws, shawls and dinasaur teeth.
Hopefully some of the shots come out well enough (I know a few are not too
bad) to post here. Sadly I broke the small tripod that I had taken so most
of the shots are hand held but I did manage to get a couple of multi flash
shots in one area before that happened.
For those that may know the area it was Dogleg Cave at Wee Jasper. We spent
a total of five hours underground so carried food and water with us as well
as the obligatory spare lights, first aid kits, etc.
Cheers.

AMAZING shots! Luv them! ;)

Here they are.
Sand filled sump. This is about 100 metres from the entrance on the way in.
Yes that is someone pushing through the sand with someone watching, he came
through last and is 6 foot 3 and 110kg, it was a struggle.

Some formations with people to give an idea of size.

Not a good shot but gives an idea of the scale of this place.

Bulb stalactites, never seen these before but sadly the camera malfunctioned
but sometimes it is better to have some shot than not shot at all.

Heh. THey weren't there when I read your original post that
contained no links ;) PixelPix also made a similar post.
I like some of those shots. The one with your initial was a good
spot!

Looks like you may have been trapped by a googlepost delay Troy. I
hate it when it does that! :-(

Don't think so. I don't use google, nor does Pete. His original
post contained no links to any photos, then he followed up with 2
posts 4 hours later that did contain links to photos.
Never mind.

A delay in whatever used then, as your post does not display until
after Pete's image links.
But like you said... "never mind" cause it's no biggee. ;)

Guys, guys, guys, I am pretty sure my origunal post only said that I had
taken some shots and that I hoped that some would come out okay. My
intention had always been to follow up with the photo links once I had
sorted a few out.
To tell you the truth I was seriously knackered last evening and barely able
to walk today at times, just consider yourself lucky that I posted what I
did. ;-)
During the caving I had actually crawled on hands abd knees something like
400 metres while concentrating on keeping really low, not recommended.
