CRUISING INTO FALL WITH THE 40D!

We are finally getting a little bit of Fall color here after a long,
hot, dry Summer.
The rains came last night and today was breezy with some strong wind
gusts, especially up on the mountains.  So that's where I went this
AM.
It was too windy for any big birds to be flying so I just drove around
in my new FJ and enjoyed the Autumn colors. I had the 400 f/5.6L
mounted on the gun turret just in case.

You should sell this pic to Toyota!  What a great billboard it would
make!  Beautiful fall colors and that gorgeous VooDoo Blue FJ.  LOVE
that gun turret!
As 2007 windes down, you can look back with a big smile on your face
and know it was your year!

Holy sh.t! Why don't you just get a bus ticket and go f.ck him already. This
cyber affair of yours over the most mundane of photography is a bit much. Even
for usenet. You might want to take along your best vibrating dildo. It appears
he enjoys something up his a.s all the time while it's being kissed. He may not
be satisfied with it just being your nose anymore.

If you think that anyone would pay for a photo like that for advertising, or
even wanting to display it that large, you most certainly have a screw loose.
I've seen better photos from a neighbor's kid using an old Polaroid camera in a
parking lot while he was playing "photographer".

Wait a minute, let me guess. You're actually blind and this is your only social
outlet. It can be the only explanation. It's the only one that would make sense.
Okay, nevermind, I can understand that. Do continue.

Hang on a sec though ....

Okay... go to it.

DAMN!  You need to take that toy off road and get the tires dirty.  That
looks like the ultimate yuppie mobile that only a retard would drive.  Even
if you put some real glass on the turret it still would look like crap.

Rag on it all you like.  Just remember that I didn't pick it ... I won
it.
And before you ask .... yes, it is registered.

No, you had the option to sell it back to the dealer and square your
taxes away afterwards.  The remaining funds would have done nicely to get
you out of debt or put towards a decent car you really like.  You could have
bought a nice Ford F350 with a Power Stroke.

Well, if you didn´t scare away the birds with that big white dildo, you sure
are going to make them run for cover with that blue Soviet tank.
Holy shift! Must be the ugliest car I´ve seen in years. I bet the rear view
is a bitch too...
I hope you won that too, because I can´t think of anyone in their right mind
handing over money for something like that...

Rear view?  What the Hell do I care what I've already passed?

Actually, the visibility from the FJ is terrible.  I wish it had a sun
roof.

There are several manufacturers of after market sunroofs.....Here is just
one site about them:

Ideally, you want a sunroof that is large enough for you to stand up inside
the car and get your head and shoulders outside through the roof. Then, You
can mound a tripod head on the top of the car next to the roof, and be able
to use your whole vehicle for a tripod. I thought about mounting a ring
around the roof, so the tripod head could be turned through 360 degrees.
that way, It wouldn't matter how you parked.....You would still be able to
aim your rig in the right direction in only a few seconds time. Most
manufacturer's sun roofs would be too small, so not having one might be an
advantage. You can get one made to your specifications. You could remove the
rear seat, and replace it with a platform to stand on, and get a large
sunroof made that is offset to the rear of the vehicle, right over the
platform.......IOW, set up your SUV just for photography.

I think the Honda Element has the Blue Turd beat by an inbreder's mile for
butt a.s ugly.  If it were me that won that piece of sh.t I would have had
it sold in the first 24 hours and invested the money.  The sad part is the
dumb bastard is out here pleading poverty and crying about paying taxes on
his winnings.  You can take em off welfare, but you can never take the
welfare mentality out of them.

Perhaps, but your situation is different from mine.
Shoulda, woulda, coulda.
I would rather have a new Altima, but that didn't work out.
I'm still gonna owe the taxes on the FJ, whether I sell it or not.
And selling it isn't gonna get me enough cash (after taxes) to get a
new Altima. So the options were keep it and pay the taxes (about
$6500) or sell it, pay the taxes and get a cheaper car. Had I been
able to clear enough to get a new Altima I would have probably done
that.
But now I have a new ride, plus I still have my old Altima (for now,
anyway).  The old Nissan has 187K miles on it, but still runs pretty
good.
Trade ya for the 500 f/4?

I'm not sure you'll like the Fab 500?  You see, the damn thing is painted an
embarrassing shade of white.

With $100 oil one wonders why a car like that is necessary.

It really does look like a Russian tank with that big cannon, I mean
Canon, sticking out.  All it needs is a rotating turret on top wielding
an EF 600mm.

His IP address is in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area.  I suppose there
are some mountainous homes in that area that might need a big ugly SUV.
Maybe.

Birds are way too far down on the order of life to be frightened by long
lenses or SUV's. If it isn't moving, they don't even see it........

They won't have to see it, they can hear that D-SLR shutter clattering from a
block away and be on the alert, ready to take flight after they hear more than 1
shot from those POS cameras.
