Q Does anyone have or used Nikon 80-400 lens?

Does anyone have or used Nikon 80-400 lens?

I want to get a recommendation of the lens performance.

Most testing is a little bias.

or is there a good site to read through.??

Photo Zone is one of the better review sites around.

Don't think there is any significant difference between this and the
equivalent sigma ex version. I have the ex sigma version and am very happy
with it.

The Sigma is VR? I would call that fairly significant.

You may find for a lot less the Bigma may do what you want anyway.

the 80-400 doesn't seem to be listed either in sydney, or Ritz in the
states, B&H have it at $999us, wonder if its been discontinued??

Reviews on the Nikon aint spectacular and maybe worth considering the
Sigma - just finding on ex Sydney.
