Today was hot and sticky after thundershowers this AM.
A perfect day to take some family photos with the 20D and the new 85 f/

Of course not everyone wanted their picture taken:

Mr. Divs, however, loves to pose for the 20D:

Now if you are wondering how to get such a nice soft look, you'll have
to look deep into Mr. Divs' eye for the secret to the diffused
lighting:

I'm sorry to tell you that you utterly killed this in Photoshop and it looks
like crap! Are you getting that much noise that you have to over-animate
this image?

"Over-animate?" I think you are talking out of your a.s again.

LOL! Oops, I forgot that you reached the limitations of the old 20D and had
to overcorrect for the noise and poor resolution. I'm guessing you cropped
this so much that you threw away at least 80% of the surrounding image.

Beautiful shots Bret! There's a guy somewhere in the neighborhood who
charges big bucks for his pet portraits. He displayed a few on the
pet shot wall and they are average. Your work blows his away......by
miles!
Beautiful color and tack sharp. The pic with Maui and Divs is so
sweet.
Your Gary Fong diffuser works excellent, and in my opinion is a wise
investment. Sure beats an alcohol bottle!
Hugs to the whole family.

Is that whole menagerie yours? And I thought *I* was overbooked with
critters.
How do you get the cats to stay still? One of mine is psychic: she
moves a couple of milliseconds before I press the button, and all I
get is a snippet of tail, or a blur. :P
Now, if I could just pan at light speed, I'd be all set.

Be thankful she doesn't curl up against you while you sleep, like that other
Psychic cat that lives in the rest home.....:^)

Funny you should mention, the other cat does... used to sleep on my
chest when I let her, now just on my arm, leg, etc. Maybe I could
rent her out to that resthome (hospital?) and have her be the anti-
Grim Reaper.
Or would that be anti-Katvorkian? :)
