I don't see them.  I filter out crossposts to flaming groups.
You should be able to do that with Agent.

Makes the reading much more pleasant.

You miss the point, that the crap posts are made in the first place.

I'm filtering out the crap but the senders/subject name morphs, if you
do reply and delete aus.photo they just add it back in - pricks.

There is a NG filter here  http://www.nfilter.org/ but I can't seem to
load it into XP. Any clues?? or if someone can find another

This has happened to quite a few NG's.

In XanaNews I have set up a filter for any articles crossposted to
alt.usnet.kooks, alt.flames and a few others an so far haven't seen any
of the junk since I did it about a week ago.

It's much better than OE in many ways and is free.

I'm not filtering posters.  I'm filtering out messages that are
crossposted to alt.flame, alt.kooks etc.

How do you do that in OE?

Unfortunately I don't think OE has the capability.  Nor does
Thunderbird.

I know XNews does.  It is free, and a very powerful newsreader -
one of the best for Windows.  You can get it here:

http://xnews.newsguy.com/

And if you need help with it, there are plenty of helpful folk in
the group news.software.readers - be sure to put [xnews] in the
subject to attract relevant responses.

There are other free Windows newsreaders with much better
filtering capabilities than OE and TB, but I don't use them so
can't recommend one confidently.  If you ask in the
above-mentioned group you will get some good advice.

Hope that helps.
