I was heavily armed and absent minded. You pay a high price for that in
the Army.

Keep in mind Mark, That shot was about 15 minutes post dawn, after I took
the lighthouse. No doubt you'll believe whatever you choose but I did
absolutely nothing to the sky. Maybe it's a cloud or morning mist in the
triangle area?
A quirk of 20D's when set up to use Adobe RGB is to lower the overall colour
saturation as the gamut widens but in that mode, they saturate blue a little
more than when using sRGB. This could also be the reason.
Normally, I would have taken these shots with a film camera. Had I not taken
the digital specifically for a job I was doing, I would have but the
Digitals were all I had with me that day.
I'll send you the RAW file if you'd like to assure yourself of what I say!

I'd love to have it!
Then maybe I can figure out why you're bitchin about saturation on a
RAW file. That's kinda the point of RAW, if you don't like something,
change it. Too bad that doesn't work on you.
You must be JPG. Just a Paranoid Grump.

Doug when you shoot in Raw the camera doesnt account for aRGB or sRGB
Only the jpg registers.
If you are using photoshop then the raw converter gives you the option
of choosing sRGB output or aRGB output.
I've been using my 20D only in raw since i've had it and it has never
exhibited that quirk even though i have set the rgb levels and white point.
Raw is RAW

Our friend Douglas does not believe in RAW.

You dare argue with one of Australia's most sought after Professional
Wedding Photographers with over 20 years experience?
Of course, D-Mac is sought after kinda like the way that Osama Bin
Laden is sought after. That's why he needs the boat ... for those
quick getaways when the angry brides come calling.
