Hi Perthites, well no prior warning from me this time since I forgot about
it, and was woken by an SMS asking me what time I'd be getting there.

A quick wash and a few coffees before I slipped onto the freeway and made my
way in the door in time to snap up a MZ-S for a lowly $200 as well as a Sony
cybershot DSC-P92 for $50.  No haggling from me, that's what they asked -
that's what I paid.

Max rolled his eyes, clutched his head and moaned when he saw the MZ-S in my
warm nicotine stained hands and a former student who beat me in the door
told me I was an idiot for buying a film camera, but I was happy :)

I did notice that not all tables were filled and photo students were
conspicuous by their absence..

did anyone else pick up any screaming bargains?

Apologies to those I knew there but failed to greet - still not too chatty
after the tonsillectomy

It really was sh.t, I was nearly out the door by ten A.M., Turn out was
way down. Lack of interest or hot weather, who can say.

I did buy two Manfrotto tripods for $50. They needed a little T.L.C.
which I provided and promptly turned around and sold for $100 each.

But personally my best buy was a Nikkor AIS 35mm f1.4 for $150. No-one
else wanted it and it was a late purchase but I was happy to pay that
price. I normally spend more than I sell at the swapmart but this time I
only spent just over $200. I was very disappointed.

All the stuff I didn't sell goes up on Ebay ... soon ;)

P.S. I was surprised Max was there, I was told he was dragged off to
Charlies because of a heart attack.

I have to confess this year I didn't spend any time promoting it at
college - 1. I'm not there any more and 2. been a bit crook..  I thought
others might jump on the bandwagon (I've never been an 'official' promoter)

but as you say - who can tell

The sprinkling of digi didn't seem to whet anyones apetite either - oh well,
I guess we're all consumers now - gotta be new or it's no good :(

that wouldn't be the first time (!)  He's resilient :)

I was just poking around Ebay, that the Nikkor AIS 35mm f1.4 lens I
bought for $150 is apparently highly sought after and sells for around
$500A on average. Life is good.

I don't feel so bad about dropping my laptop now .....
