Greetings, folks.

I have here what was once a top-of-the-range flat-bed SCSI scanner, high
resolution with brilliant colour fidelity.

Knowing I won't get much for it, I don't want to go through the drama of
listing it on eBay, so I'm offering it free of charge to anyone willing to
pick it up from the Penrith area of Sydney.

The scanner was last used about three years ago, and at that time worked
perfectly. Apart from grime & dirt (nothing Mr. Sheen & 5 minutes of elbow
grease won't fix), it's in perfect condition.

To get it working, you'll need an IEC power cable and a SCSI-II cable with a
50-pin Centronics connector (and obviously a SCSI interface on your
computer).

Do your own research through Google for info on its features,
specifications, size & appearance.

Contact me by 'phone or e-mail; first in, best dressed.

yup, both our scanners are scsi.

The only reason I'll upgrade (? = buy something with a higher
resolution) is when I can afford the $10K A0 colour printer.

What transport costs ??
If you live in penrith you pick it up for next to nothing. Sheesh.

Indeed, you could also buy a brand new car for well under the cost of a
30-year-old Rolls Royce, but I don't think it's a valid argument. I doubt
you'd be able to find any current scanner within comparison distance in
terms of quality & speed, for under $1k.

In any case, the scanner's now gone to a better home, one where it'll be put
to good use converting family photo albums to digital format.
