Pantone "Huey". A USB device that helps calibrate your monitor for those of
us that have to work with colour.
The price is right at about $75 US delivered (Egghead.com) for what I would
call entry level/prosumer device. Easy to use and works pretty darn good.
You'd be surprised what you are looking at before and after monitor
calibration. If you have to use colour in your work it's not a bad tool for
the price. Others start at $259 US and go way up from there and the best AU
price I could find was $159

Drawbacks: The USB cable seems a bit thin/flimsy and with Dual monitors you
have to set the other monitor to "primary" then adjust it and then set the
order back the way it was. I assume it lacks the advanced controls of the
Pro devices. No big deal. Happy with the results.

I could slide my PS2 app with CYMK rectangles drawn across both screens (one
before the other after calibration) and the difference showed dramatically.
The yellows had a green tinge green on the uncalibrated monitor that I could
not normally detect.

Did you see a monkey spanker is upset about the flag being banned at the
BDO.

a good point and often neglected

a few (and I mean few) of the pro labs here in perth tested their staff for
colour blindness and that was a long time ago.

Now colour is in the hands of photographers I wonder how many know how good
their colour perception is/isn't

As an aside, it matters not for the GD using PS since colour management is a
different matter compared to the way photographers handle it.
