error in camera

Perhaps if you give a bit more info about the error and what you have done
to clear it someone may be able to help you, errors with the Canon D-SLRs
are pretty common and there are some that can be cleared by removing and
re-attaching the lens or by removing and re-installing the battery.

Even a location would help... Australia is a fairly large place!

You still haven't said what the problem is. If it's a common one with a
common fix (or even something that the camera is SUPPOSED to do in
certain circumstances) then you're just wasting your time, and could
possibly be looking at a service fee if they conclude it's not faulty.
