Anyone bought an A3 printer recently, for photo work?  Comments
appreciated - am interested in getting one.  Have had previous
experience with:

- Epson 1270 - nice printer when tweaked, seemed to my inexperienced
eye to be smoother, but more limited in gamut, than the Canon i9100 -
now sadly dead from failed motherboard.
- Canon i9100 - fast, good accurate and vibrant colours out of the box,
but not quite as smooth in pale tones as the 1270  (I sold the Canon
when I needed the money - shouldn't have!)

But these are old printers, inks have changed, and I'm out of touch...

Incredibly happy with my HP8750. For the price, there is
nothing better out there.  Quality wise I think there is better
now, but more expen$ive...

I had a HP once in the recent past, my experience with it was that I had
printing problems.

Having been through all the procedure's, contacted HP (in INDIA) to try
and sort the problem, they looked up there list couldn't find the
problem I had, I sent samples without ant reply, think we both gave up
and I returned the printer.

There are some plus's for the HP technology but customer support is
unsatisfactory.

People who buy either Canon or Epson have been satisfied with the
respective customer support.
