Hello!

The last two weeks I worked on my own Online shop where you can download 150
photos which I made of my hometown for free.

I used the osCommerce PHP application and it works pretty well.

Have a look at: http://catalog.aljo-online.com

The Amersfoort site that contains more information about what's on these
pictures is at: http://www.aljo-online.com/amersfoort

Please have a look and order some photos for free.

Let's just check this.  You've used a commerce application to build a
shopping web site where we can download things for free?

That's right, and it taught me a lot! I consider this a learning process,
not a money making venture.

PS, Did you see it? And how did you like it?

An unusual approach, certainly. But I guess this comes under the
heading of "two birds, one stone".

First impressions? I have to confess myself slightly puzzled by the
fact that the "Click to enlarge" links launch a window giving you...
an image of exactly the same size.

The idea is that you order the bigger pictures. But that most people don't
want to enter their personal data like email address and regular address.
While it wouldn't matter if you entered a ficticious home address. And a
hotmail email address.

Errr... yeah. That may be the point of your site, but let's just cover
this particular point of the site *design* again.

The link says "Click to *ENLARGE*". On most sites this will, by
definition, lead you to a LARGER image of the one that you're clicking
on. Users of a Web site, any web site, may therefore be a tad
surprised to find that what they get instead when they click on such a
link is an image of *exactly the same pixel size*, just in a different
window.

I thought you were pulling my leg, but I just found out what you meant! You
are right! I may have to remove this option to "click to enlarge"! I would
have to find the file in which this is done, and I don't have any experience
with PHP programming, so I don't know if could just remove a line of code or
something like that.
Thanks for your comment!

Alan,
I found the PHP file and the code I need to change to keep the picture and
remove the 'click to enlarge' option. I will fix it next week after
Christmas. Thank you so much for pointing this out to me.
